With all the California Wildfires, I'm reminded of a Comic I drew back in 2007. I'm California born & raised, so wildfires aren't too much of a big deal, but this latest one is definitely a history maker.
The source reference image was from an impromptu photo shoot I did several years ago. The available light in the room was magical and the model was just sitting there meditating.

When I was a kid, I used to draw nonstop. As I got older, I got harder on myself. Now I only draw when I think I can make something big of whatever I'm doodling. I want to go back to the way I was before,

This started as a purely experimental abstract piece, but evolved to include both abstract and surreal (i.e. representational) elements.
